I’m a UX Designer and a Front-End Developer.
I first discovered my love for design when I was 13, and I wanted to start a minecraft youtube channel and needed some artwork. I installed photoshop and cinema4D, got myself some textures and whacked away at my first design creation, a youtube banner art for my minecraft channel.
When I graduated high school I decided to study design at the University of Lisbon, where I discovered my passion for UX/UI/Interaction Design. For me, it was the perfect combination of artistry, science and technology. So I decided to get a masters’ in Interaction Design, which I’m currently writing my thesis for.
When getting my masters I found out that I didn’t really understand a lot about how to actually build the things I designed. I knew a bit of html and css, and the tiniest bit of javascript, but I had no grasp of how to do most things, even an API request was daunting. So I decided I want to understand how all of it work and started learning web-development. I really liked it, it was like building a lego house, except when you place a block in the wrong place the lego is no longer was a house, it's now a dragon and you have to fix it.
So here we are, if you liked my story (or my work), feel free to contact me. We can discuss design, technology, music, card games or the weather.
